For the purpose of this initiative, “policy” is used in the sense of guiding principles generally issued by governments, whereas “program” is used for the kinds of initiatives in which individuals can participate.

Policy guidelines and recommendations to provide a framework for policies, actions and legislation to support participation of individuals with disabilities in the province, under a perspective of rights. The recommendations were made based on a needs assessment.
