A non-taxable amount paid by the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services to help low and modest-income families to provide for their children.

To access the provincial Nova Scotia Child Benefit, you must register your child for the federal Canada Child Benefit. Once eligible, your Nova Scotia Child Benefit will be added to your monthly Canada Child Benefit.
