This program, provided through Manitoba Department of Families, supports families who are raising a child (or children) with developmental and physical disabilities, to meet some of the additional needs they may have.
The Primary Caregiver Tax Credit is a $1,400 ($1,275 prior to 2015) annual refundable personal income tax credit that can be claimed by any Manitoban who is giving ongoing voluntary care to a family member, a friend or a neighbour in Manitoba.
A non-taxable amount paid by Manitoba Family Services to help low and modest-income families to provide for their children.
